PART1 INDEPTH QUESTIONNAIRE. To look at your lifestyle,needs,personality.

Where will you be in ten years time.

Indeed you, as the garden is a reflection of your inner self and is a one time fix, you cant change the wallpaper if you dont like it?.

The questionnaire forms a wishlist  of how you want your outside space to evolve, and includes dreams and wishes for the future .

Indeed ten years ahead.  Including extensions to the property future plans aspirations. ( THE WISH LIST IN YOUR LEFT HAND ).

After a walk around the garden and surrounding areas with the client. we then complete part 2

Part 2  A TECHNICAL SURVEY.

Is completed this includes. Good and bad views, Topography, Level survey. Existing planting. or areas to be built on in the future, added into plans.

Soil tests ,Measurements,  House Orientation, Visable underground or overhead services, Noise levels, Privacy, etc., notes are made together with many photographs of the site.

This is a normal survey in the average garden up to a third of acre.

PART1.WISHLIST AND DREAMS( LEFT HAND)  PART 2. WHAT YOU HAVE REALITY (RIGHT HAND)   PUT THEM TOGETHER TO FORM THE ESSENCE OF THE DESIGN. 

On difficult and larger sites we recommend a site survey undertaken by a local surveyor, this is much cheaper than us undertaken this task.

We liase with the surveyor, should boundary or technical site problems become an issue.

We work with specialist surveyors and equipment throughout the country in resolving any issues.(ie encrouchment by a protected tree on a boundary that you are planning to have an extension to the house) just one example.

THE COMPLEATED SURVEY AND INFORMATION FORMS THE BACKBONE OF THE DESIGN.

SURVEY FEES.

For a garden up to an third of an acre no survey fees are charged but a fee is charged for travel expenses.

Within a 20mile radius of York Free

Within a 50mile radius £50.00.

Within a 100mile radius £100.00.

Survey fees for larger sites or comercial projects are costed on request.

PART 2 THE DESIGN PACKAGE . (DESIGNING YOUR CAKE)

All the consultation and land survey information is used to produce a design package of detailed coloured hand drawn plans these include.

MASTER DRAWINGS  the master plan of the site.

FULL WORKING DRAWINGS . to scale for your contractor or local authority planners

PERSPECTIVE AND AXONOMETRIC SKETCHES. 3dimensional sketches.

POSSIBLE HARD LANDSCAPING DRAWINGS. including CROSS SECTION ELEVATIONS.

PLANTING PLANS. showing positions of all planting.

PLANT SCHEDULES. name, plant , season colour, cost.

DESIGN PACKAGE FEES.

Design package fees, vary from project to project, based on drawing board time, and the simple or more complicated the design issues are. As an example a small garden with average issues would cost between £1500 to £2000  for the full package above.

PART 3

SPECIFICATION AND TENDER DOCUMENT. (RECIPE AND METHOD HOW TO MAKE THE CAKE)

A detailed specification on how to build the garden( BY NOT EMPOYING A LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR AND BEING IN CONTROL OF YOUR OWN PROJECT.)

the theory of steps to complete the project.making  huge savings on the cost of your project.

OTHER FEES

PROJECT MANAGEMENT, SPECIALIST SITE VISITS,REVIEWS AND SURVEY REPORTS.

Are charged at within 50 miles of York £150.00 per day plus travel .

                          over  100 miles of York £250.00 per day plus travel.

                                    200 miles or over of York £350.00 per day plus travel and accommodation.

 Out side the uk negotiated/plus travel expenses. this does not include survey reports or documents which are charged individually.

MAINTENANCE PLAN

We provide a full maintenance plan for all year round good looks and healthy garden.
